Tom Henderson has revealed that the Battlefield developers have listened to fans’ pleas and will return a missing element to the next installment. The next Battlefield will reportedly allow leaning out from behind a corner again. If you’re a veteran of the Battlefield series, then you may have been surprised that the developers didn’t give players a tilt system in the last installment.

A key mechanism players logically miss, the ability to peek out from behind a corner and shoot from cover is simply handy. The developers seem to have taken the comments to heart. In fact, insider Tom Henderson has stated that tilt will return with the next upcoming installment. And while some fans were very happy with the information, others reminded that the DICE-produced war action has much more fundamental problems that should be addressed.

More news about Guerrilla Games and Studio Gobo is coming out. And so it’s a direct offer to return to two interesting facts. The first concerns the cast. The previous games in the Horizon series featured the late popular actor Lance Reddick, who we wrote about in a separate article last year. Fans have long been curious to see who would replace him in the role. It was only with the first reviews that it was revealed that Tim Russ, best known for his role as Tuvok in Star Trek: Voyager, would be taking on the role.

Tim Russ has many other roles to his credit and regularly returns to voice acting. As well as Star Trek titles, he can be heard in Starfield, World of Warcraft, The Last of Us Part II, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Mafia III, Fallout 4, Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst, The Elder Scrolls Online and Dragon Age: Origins. The funny thing is that he was already involved in the voice acting for Horizon Forbidden West, but this time he had a different role. He was the voice of Jetakka. It’s unclear whether Tim Russ will be involved in other games in the series.

The second interesting fact concerns the recently released, more powerful PlayStation 5 Pro console. Surprisingly, Lego Horizon Adventures offers no special features for this system. At least not at launch. Whether this will change in the future is unclear. Of course, nowhere does it say that first-party titles are required to use the PS5 Pro, but that’s what gamers expect. Titles will have a choice of performance and quality modes, but they should be the same on Sony’s base and more powerful console. We’ll see if the news brings any improvements in the future.

According to the Amazon leak JMilao caught on Reddit, the Aspyr Media team is preparing another trilogy besides Tomb Raider IV-V-VI Remastered. An Amazon store listing reveals that there will be another remastered trilogy, which is sure to be released before the arrival of the all-new adventures of archaeologist Lara Croft. This year, we saw Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, and Tomb Raider IV-V-VI Remastered will be released in February 2025. After that, the third trilogy is due to arrive, according to Amazon. This includes 2006’s Legend, 2007’s Anniversary, and 2008’s Underworld. Again in one package with improved graphics and controls. We are definitely not without Lara Croft in the future, and thats great.

A Cooperative Game From The World Of Horizon May Be Released Next Year

It’s no secret that Guerrilla Games continues to work on the development of the Horizon brand. After the release of Lego Horizon Adventures, which Guerrilla only oversaw, the door is now open for more titles, including a direct sequel and two multiplayer projects. One of them is being speculated about – we’re talking about an MMO game from Tencent, which is expected to be called Land of Salvation. The other, however, was mentioned by the developers themselves a few years ago and is a co-op title being worked on directly by the folks at Guerrilla Games, and the news is that we could potentially see it as early as next year.

The belief that a release is imminent comes from a teaser that fans have managed to discover directly on the Guerrilla website. A Twitter user with the nickname JorRaptor has shared a few screenshots, according to which the Dutch studio is looking for a trainee tester to get involved in checking the nascent title before release. Importantly, the potential candidate should be available from early 2025, and given that the final testing phase can typically take less than a year, the release of Horizon Online – as the developers talked about the collaboration two years ago – could fall in the fourth quarter of 2025.

There is, however, one big BUT that could significantly interfere with these considerations. You’ve probably guessed by now that we’re referring to GTA VI, which is due to arrive just in time for next fall, and Horizon wouldn’t be the first or last game to voluntarily clear that date. It would then presumably be the case that we’d be able to take on robotic animals and human enemies in co-op in early 2026, but we’ll see how brave Sony is.

Sony Is Learning From Its Mistakes – Explains About Concord Failure

Sony executives explained the failure of Concord in a call with investors. They blamed the failure of the August PvP event on the company’s inexperience in live service titles, lack of cooperation between divisions and the unpredictability of the new brand. The statement was noted by VGC magazine. “At the moment, we’re still learning. And when it comes to new IP, basically, you don’t know how it’s going to turn out until you actually try it,” says Hiroki Totoki, Sony’s president and chairman of PlayStation, who also briefly led as interim CEO in the spring.

“In terms of our reflection, we’ll probably have to add a lot of checkpoints, including user testing or internal reviews, and time those points. We need to go through them much earlier,” he continues. “In addition, we have very isolated divisions, and crossing their boundaries in terms of development or sales planning could have been much smoother, in my opinion,” he adds, talking about a poorly chosen release date that may have made Concord and third-party titles parasitic on each other. He’s apparently referring to Black Myth: Wukong, which arrived three days early.

Totoki is complemented by Sadahiko Hajakawa, Sony’s finance and investment vice president: “We launched two live service games this year. Helldivers 2 is a huge hit, while Concord was discontinued. In both cases, we gained a lot of experience and learned a lot.” He reveals that in the future they want to build on established brands with live service games. Concord didn’t even last three weeks active after its release on August 23. Due to a lack of players caused by very poor sales, Sony pulled the game from sale, shut down the servers and refunded customers. The Firewalk studio closed at the end of October.
