More news about Guerrilla Games and Studio Gobo is coming out. And so it’s a direct offer to return to two interesting facts. The first concerns the cast. The previous games in the Horizon series featured the late popular actor Lance Reddick, who we wrote about in a separate article last year. Fans have long been curious to see who would replace him in the role. It was only with the first reviews that it was revealed that Tim Russ, best known for his role as Tuvok in Star Trek: Voyager, would be taking on the role.
Tim Russ has many other roles to his credit and regularly returns to voice acting. As well as Star Trek titles, he can be heard in Starfield, World of Warcraft, The Last of Us Part II, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Mafia III, Fallout 4, Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst, The Elder Scrolls Online and Dragon Age: Origins. The funny thing is that he was already involved in the voice acting for Horizon Forbidden West, but this time he had a different role. He was the voice of Jetakka. It’s unclear whether Tim Russ will be involved in other games in the series.
The second interesting fact concerns the recently released, more powerful PlayStation 5 Pro console. Surprisingly, Lego Horizon Adventures offers no special features for this system. At least not at launch. Whether this will change in the future is unclear. Of course, nowhere does it say that first-party titles are required to use the PS5 Pro, but that’s what gamers expect. Titles will have a choice of performance and quality modes, but they should be the same on Sony’s base and more powerful console. We’ll see if the news brings any improvements in the future.
