Pragmata Still in Development – Capcom Assures

During this year’s The Game Awards 2024 presentation, Capcom surprised with the return of Okami, which will receive an as-yet-untitled sequel, and Onimusha with a new installment of Way of the Sword. This pleased many fans and gamers, however, we’ve been missing any information about the mysterious Pragmata game that was announced back in 2020 in conjunction with the PlayStation 5 launch. Given the silence and previous delays, it wouldn’t be out of place to worry about the title, but Capcom is still counting on it nonetheless.

Although Pragmata was announced in 2020 along with other games after the upcoming PlayStation 5, the release date was already set for 2022 at that time. However, the game was delayed until 2021, only to eventually show up again during Capcom Showcase 2023, but with another delay, this time indefinitely. What is certain is that we won’t see any more news this year, but maybe next year? We’ll see how much longer Pragmata will be in hiding. Moving forward though, the game should be heading not only to PlayStation 5, but also PC and Xbox Series.

More than a month after the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl by Ukrainian studio GSC Game World, the game continues to receive substantial updates addressing its initial launch challenges. While the developers plan to release story expansions and further updates in the coming year, the game remains exclusive to PC and Xbox Series X/S platforms and PlayStation falls short.

Tech4Gamers Interview with GSC Game World about making the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game

Despite previous hints suggesting a potential PlayStation 5 release, Game Director Ievgen Grygorovych addressed the possibility in a recent Tech4Gamers interview. He stated that the team is currently focused solely on PC and Xbox Series X/S versions, with no immediate plans for a PS5 release. When questioned about the three-month exclusivity period mentioned in Epic Games documents, Grygorovych declined to comment.

Cyberpunk Infiltrates Fortnite!

Of course, the various collaborations with Fortnite, which have seen some really cool stuff over the years, are no surprise. However, occasionally content that we think is more interesting than others does make its way into the game – it’s worth remembering, for example, last year’s Alan Wake: Flashback special map, which served as a recap of the ideal build-up to the release of the Alan Wake 2 sequel. It’s not yet a precursor to a sequel this time around, but many fans will be pleased to hear that Fortnite has joined forces with CD Projekt again in the latest batch of news and collaborations, and after The Witcher, there’s Cyberpunk 2077.

V and Johnny Hit the Island

Fortnite has welcomed a visitor from Night City, as the announcement teaser proclaimed, which more accurately means a Night City Denizens Bundle headed by the legendary Johnny Silverhand and the female protagonist V, that is. Johnny’s inclusion means that this is the second time his actor character Keanu Reeves will be appearing in the game, as John Wick has previously made a visit to Fortnite. As for V, the choice of a female variant of the character for a change has raised questions in the community as to whether this means that this V is the canino for Cyberpunk 2077. That’s not true, by the way, as the developers have previously clarified that both characters are equal and neither is canon at the expense of the other. In addition to the skins of Johnny and V, the package then includes Mantis blades, Johnny’s guitar, katana and satchel, and for V, a Flathead drone from Militech. The skins and accessories don’t stop there, though, as there’s also a Cyberpunk Vehicle Bundle, which includes the Quadra Turbo-R vehicle – which players can also get in Rocket League and vice versa after purchasing. Of course, there’s a whole host of customisation options.

Master Chief Returns

Anyway, speaking of in-game collaborations, Halo’s Master Chief has returned to Fortnite for the first time in a while, which has caused some confusion among players. It was previously possible to get the Matte Black skin as part of the Xbox exclusives, but now it’s no longer possible.

The developers at GSC Game World recently gave players and their game an early Christmas present when S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl received a huge and first set of major updates, which is making the gameplay a little better again especially with A-life addition and performance improvement.

They’re not done with that though, as they have a lot of plans for 2025, as they told players and fans through a statement. In it, they thank you for your support, highlight a new patch that will allow players to enjoy playing during the holidays, and outline what’s next for them. Of course, more work is in the works for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, but the previous titles in the series will also receive care as part of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy collection, which was released in March.

GSC Official X.com about Stalker Future

“A next-gen patch for the console versions of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy will be released next year,” the developers said in a statement, but that’s not the end of the news. “We know you’ve been asking us to update the PC versions of the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games, and we plan to do that as well,” they add to the delight of fans, suggesting to keep an eye on social media for more information. As of now, we don’t know the exact date or time period when we might see patches and updates. Likewise, we’ll have to wait for details on what all the next-gen versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series will offer. On the PC, however, it’s a safe bet that the long-running S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat, which came out in 2007, 2008 and 2009, will get the treatment after a really long time, whatever it may be. We can only speculate about the content and enhancements so far. We should hopefully learn more in early 2025, when the studio will be ready to share a roadmap for the coming year for the sequel, which doesn’t preclude information about other games and projects.
