Quick heads up guys, Brotato on the Epic Games Store will be the next free promotion from November 28th to December 5th. It’s a simple indie 2D top-down roguelike shooter but perfectly dynamic, where you play as a potato space soldier fighting off alien waves.
The game typically costs about $4.99, so getting as a freebie is a nice pre-xmas addition to your Epic PC Game library (the mobile version is free but with in-app purchases). You can pack up to six weapons at once, and runs are pretty quick – good for killing 20-30-minute practice sessions. It’s like Vampire Survivors but more original approach and with an excellent reviewer score across all platforms, including port for Nintendo Switch. They’ve added local co-op recently too, so a party game or with grownups.
If you end up liking it, there are some DLCs you can check out later. Just note that while it looks basic, it can get a bit choppy when there’s lots happening on screen.
Nothing groundbreaking here, but hey its about liquidating aliens and – it’s free! You might consider adding it to your library before December 5th.
