After a decade as a mobile-exclusive title, Marvel Contest of Champions is officially heading to PC. Developer Kabam announced on April 29 that the game will be available on Steam. The PC version will feature enhanced HD visuals running at 60 frames per second and an overhauled user interface. Players can choose between keyboard and controller inputs, which are fully remappable.
Crossplay and Cross-Progression Support
Kabam confirmed full crossplay and cross-progression between the new PC version and the existing mobile edition of Marvel Contest of Champions. Players can freely switch between PC and mobile platforms using the same account. Progress, unlocks, and character rosters will remain consistent no matter where you play. This seamless integration allows for uninterrupted gameplay whether you’re on the go or sitting at your desk. Daily events, alliance participation, and ranking progress will also carry over between devices. Kabam emphasized that content updates and seasonal events will roll out simultaneously on both platforms, keeping the entire community aligned. ➤ (Source: Kotaku)
Marvel Contest of Champions Pre-Registration Now Open
Pre-registration for the PC release is currently live through the official Marvel Contest of Champions website. Players who sign up ahead of launch will receive bonus in-game rewards once the title goes live on Steam. These rewards are designed to give early adopters a head start in building their roster and progressing through early content. While Kabam hasn’t confirmed the full details of the rewards, these typically include resources like units, crystals, or exclusive character skins. There’s no exact release date yet, but Kabam stated that launch is “coming soon,” with further updates expected shortly. ➤ (Source: Kotaku)
Extensive Roster of Over 300 Marvel Characters
The game’s roster spans more than 300 playable characters from across the Marvel Universe. It includes staple characters like Iron Man, Hulk, Black Panther, and Thor, alongside mutants like Cyclops and Storm. Lesser-known heroes and alternate versions such as Spider-Ham, Spider-Punk, and a joke character named Platinumpool are also part of the lineup. Each champion comes with distinct animations, special attacks, and class types such as Tech, Cosmic, Mutant, Skill, Mystic, and Science. These classifications impact how matchups play out, adding a layer of strategy to team building. Players can form teams that benefit from synergy bonuses based on character relationships, origins, or affiliations. ➤ (Source: Kotaku)
Gameplay Features
The game offers both single-player story modes and online versus battles. Players can collect and upgrade characters, each with unique abilities and special moves. The combat system includes light, medium, and heavy attacks, blocks, and dodges. Characters can be leveled up using in-game resources, and synergy bonuses are available for certain team combinations. The PC version will be available through Steam. System requirements and additional details will be provided closer to the release date. Players interested in the PC version can add the game to their Steam wishlist to receive notifications upon release. For more reviews and news, stay tuned to our website.
